Survey Attributes
The Australian Science Enrolment Project is trying to understand how students attitudes and feelings towards school science, and school in general, change over time. To do this a group of students are being tracked from Year 7 through high-school. They complete a survey on this website once per term. This measures their attitudes towards all of their academic school subjects across five aspects:
- enjoyability
- perceived difficulty
- perceived ability
- relevance to everyday life
- usefulness to career / future life
- liklihood of continuing in Year 11
The results of this survey and the comments given by participants are being used to identify common themes and trends across the full cohort and investigating the effect these have on post-compulsory enrolments in Science.
